YOUTH GROUP
The
purpose or CREED of the youth ministry at First Baptist Church is to
Celebrate the presence of almighty God corporately and individually,
to Reach others with the love and grace of Jesus Christ, to Equip
youth to apply their gifts in service to God and others, to Encourage
one another in Christian love and Demonstrate Jesus’ love by helping
others.On Sunday mornings, youth worship at the “Fish” (building across from front church parking lot) at 9:30 a.m. Classes available are 7-8 Grade girls and boys, 9-10 Grade girls and boys and 11-12 grade co-ed.
Youth may be involved in Discipleship Training on Sunday evenings beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the youth building. Wednesdays offer the opportunity for youth to participate in Cross Training. This is a youth worship service that begins at 6 p.m.
Once monthly on Wednesdays, the youth take a “Mystery Trip” with an applicable devotion based on the location of the trip.
Other youth events offered are fellowships, retreats, summer camp, mission trips, disciple now weekend, and regular mission action opportunities.
